Guest guest
I stand with those who are not findiing the ortho who will replace a knee knowing it is needed but because we are not of age won't do it! I have suffered now with my lft knee 2yrs, prior it has been operated on x2 and nothing left but to replace, yet he won't do it, I am to young 51. I have had the injections in it done PT to help but it is just shot, and bone on bone he agrees it will have to be replaced but not till I am older. So on top of fibro pain have this that takes away from one of the few enjoyments I have walking, last time I walked, I thought I would not get back! I worked in the healthfield, and know what is on with these surgeries, they are lasting longer then 10yrs ago. I am not one to just want it done as for something to do, I have risks each time i have surgery of any kind, I have had a DVT, and a pulmonary embolism so don't go into this easily but just think if my outcome is that is has to be done eventually, why not now, I am at a better age to get around after for blood flow etc. So shame on these Ortho's who won't touch anyone until they are old.
