Guest guest
I mis-spoke when I said LBD Lewey Body Disease was in Autopsy - that is not right. My sister said that driving down the highway from her discussion with Neuropathologist when she got the report. The final diagnosis at the top of the 4 page report says LEWY BODY PATHOLOGY, NEOCORTICAL (DIFFUSE) SEE COMMENT. ALZHEIMER'S TYPE PATHOLOGY, BRAAK STAGE I I I - IV/VI SEE COMMENT And throughout the 4 page report it mentions Lewy Body and Lewy Bodies (not disease) in different parts of the brain such as Pons locus cerelus, Midbrain, Amygdala, Anterior hippocampus and entorphinal cortex - under all those there is Lewy Bodies, or cortical - type Lewy bodies present. So I apologize for saying Lewy Body Disease LBD - that was not mentioned in the report. There was mention of atropic (atrophy) depletion of neuronal populations, placques and tangles mentioned in different areas. It never mentioned Lewy Body Disease, but when I read on this subject , if there are Lewy Body in the brain at autopsy, then it could be LBD. - not definite, but it is possible. Whatever he had, he was really sick, but he did know us till he fell unconscious. I am taking a break and will be back when I feel better. in MA
