Guest guest
, I only read these e-mails sporadically, and I think others have written that generally without drinking someone can only live days, My heart goes out to you as you face the end with your mom Barb. I think hospice can give her something to help with the crying and agitation. I've been told by several nurses that when someone refuses to eat or drink it is a very natural way of passing. Eventually hormones are released which gives the dying person a sense of euphoria. I hope this is true for it's gotten us through some trying times. My prayers are with you and your mom that her passing is peaceful. Marcie _____ From: LBDcaregivers [mailto:LBDcaregivers ] On Behalf Of choir39@... Right now she is not eating and is drinking very little if any thickened liquid. Hospice is being called in. She also never opens her eyes anymore and costantly crys and is agitated. She has a little strenth left even though she weighs 97 pounds now. She wants to kick all the help or bite them at the nursing home. Wow to go from being such a beautiful sweet human to this is so hard to watch. I love her so much but I need to know what is next and how many more weeks , months or years will my mom have to endure this? Thank you and my prayers are with all of you.
