She did not get it from IVIG. IVIG has allowed her to be as healthy as she is, but it had nothing to do with her HIV status. She is my adopted daughter and the virus was transmitted to her from her bio mom. In addition to her HIV she has a clearly documented case of low IGG's AND Selective Antibody deficiency. She was born with these defects as well as the HIV. The IVIG is helping these " PID " issues and not her hiv. Though in the past IVIG was used for kids with hiv, it has been proven that unless they have an underlying defect, such as Annette does, it didn't help them. I apologize for any newcomers of this confused you. I actually will take it out of our signature line to avoid this issue in the future. Dale is right about asking questions! The only way you will learn is to ask, ask, ask. Take Care and God Bless, Mommy to: Annette 15 yo, selective antibody deficiency, cp, devlopmental delays, g-tube, IVIG x 5 years, starting Sub Q this week! 9yo, previous B and T cell deficiencies, IVIG x 1 year (off now over 2 years), daily prophylaxis, brain tumor survivor, hearing impaired, seizure disorder, learning disabled, and one heck of a " WWF wrestler " ! Trayvon 6yo, Ivemark Syndrome, severe congenital heart defects, asplenia, malrotated intestines, microcephalic, migraines, severe reflux and losing teeth by the day! Marriela 2yo, Micro premie (26 weeker, 1 lb, 12oz), NICU x 4 months, severe asthma, devlopmental delays, mild cp, reflux, and gives us a serious run for our money every single day! and Cody, resolving reflux, chronic congestion but a VERY happy baby. God has a serious sense of humor now doesn't he! Guest guest
Hi Debbie! I am glad you have an antibiotic and I hope you feel better soon!! I am across the lake from you in southwestern michigan and its subzero temps here and the wind will not stop blowing! I can't even see the house across the street due to whiteouts!! My friend was here from Chicago this weekend and he actually had to leave to go back early yesterday before the weather got as bad as it is now!! Hot chocolate sounds yummy right about now! I think I am going to go have some! I was trying my room temp bottled water but it's even freezing:) --- Debbie Ashbaugh <tdash@...> wrote: > Ok, to make you all happy and to confirm what I > thought, I spoke with an ER > doc today and asked him to listen to me and he > confirmed what I heard and > suspected, so he ordered and out patient chest Xray > , and I have pneumonia > in my right middle lobe. Guest guest
Hi, Debbie, glad to hear you finally got the proper diagnosis and meds. Enjoy the time off, but get better soon! I'm sitting in St. , MN. We had the snow and whiteouts yesterday, last night I couldn't believe how hard the wind was blowing. And how cold it is, wind chill was at -48 this morning! We skipped church, it was so cold. Wind chill is only, lol, only -28 right now. Brrrrr!
