I have specific spots on my body that itch with consistancy before the

beginning of an RA flare. Its like clock work. I asked my doc and he claims its

a

histimine reaction. It took a few docs before one would even admit that it

was a real reaction.

Most docs when I complain and show them the rash and the itching they just

blow it off.

I no longer bother to tell docs about it anymore. They do not doing anything

about..so there really is not a point in telling.

I use to run to the doc everytime a major flare was starting. When I had

really swollen, red not tender joints with the skin rash....got treated like I

was a hypochrondriac...so I stopped wasting my time and money.

Hi,

Maybe this sounds weird but from time to time I itch over the herberdon nodules

at my DIP

joints and once this occured on a toe before it started to bend. I was

diagnosed with

inflammatory oseo-arthritis in the past. I was upset at the time but now it

sure sounds

better than RA! Oh well. Anyone else have this?

,

I thought I was the only one who had this. In December, I developed an itchy sl

raised rash over my left shoulder. My shoulder got so stiff and achy I couldn't

raise it above waist level. My rheumatologist has given me 2 cortisone

injections and it is much better but i still have the pain, especially at night.

At least it is tolerable now!

The rash lasted for a month and is gone now. I wasn't sure if there was even a

correlation. My first injection was from an orthopedic surgeon. When i went to

the rheumie for my second injection, I forgot to mention the rash.
