Guest guest
Hi All...I have a new 'bump' right on the side of my thumb joint. It doesn't move, but is right on the joint...doesn't hurt. Then I have a little lump on the side of my little finger that doesn't move and is a little above the joint. That one hurts terribly if bumped...if I accidently whack it against something, that tiny thing hurts so bad it brings tears to my eyes. Do either/both sound like rheum. nodules? Thanks... Guest guest
Is sounds like rheumatoid nodules to me too. I have two nodules, one on my right elbow and one on my right lung. The one on my elbow bothers me at times, like if I accidently hit it; for the most part...they are not too painful. > > Hi All...I have a new 'bump' right on the side of my thumb joint. Guest guest
Kami, I had nodules on my elbows, but they disappeared after I started Enbrel. I was certainly glad to see them go! Guest guest
Hi fellow nodule suffers, I think I started developing nodules 4 or 5 years ago. My right elbow is disgusting. I believe the nodules are a sign of disease progression only because I've had RA since 1991, and really don't remember having them. Once the joint has been destroyed, maybe the nodules are what remains. Although the one on my elbow is much much different than the ones on my knuckles. My most painful one is on my left index finger where it attaches to my hand. I protect my hands at almost all times. I posted some pics. I asked my Rheum. about have the ones on my right elbow removed. She kind of blew me off saying that they would probably return, so I guess I will keep them until the pain becomes more than I can handle. And I don't think there is any thing that can be done with my hands. Both my wrists are fused, and most joints are turning to mush....i can't remember what my Rheum. called it. Anyway....thanks for listening. I will be reading 's info soon. Take care everyone, (musiclvr3237) From: Mimi <mimi212@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Rheumatoid Nodules Date: Monday, June 22, 2009, 8:35 PM Interesting that you mentioned this, Kami. I had a very sore nodule on the knuckle of my middle finger and while its still there, its not as sore as it was prior to Enbrel. Woo Hoo - that's a good sign for me (I think)!! I'll be scrolling down in my email to 's INFO on nodules. Doreen Ugh. They are starting. On my fingers and my toes. I see my doctor on Friday and am wondering if he is going to change my treatment due to these ugly things...... . Is this a sign of disease progression or just a sign of the disease? *~ Kami ~*
Guest guest
Hi Everyone: I have nodules on both feet on the outside of my arches. The only time they are painful is when my feet and ankles flare. That was part of the reason my foot dr. had me buy 2 types of inserts for my shoes. They really do help. I am doing good and saw my knee surgeon yesterday. I am all healed, walking without anything, and doing great. You can barely see the incision. I am very grateful to be such a good healer. Both knees are now perfect with no pain. I am very happy about that! I read all the posts each day, and am always wishing for everyone to be pain free. After 6 years with R.A. I have been pain free since last Sept. No flares at all. I guess my R.A. cocktail of meds. are truly working well for me. I am so grateful for this, as I suffered so much with the R.A. in my feet and ankles. I was hit in other places, but the feet and ankles were hit the hardest. You all are the best group of caring people. If I had one wish, it would be that all of you would be pain free. Praying you all will be pain free soon. Hugs, Barbara > > Ugh. They are starting.
