I love mine. I use it pretty much every day in the winter, it also softens

your hands if you have a problem with dry cracked skin. Definitely worth the

$40 !

Ok, so I looked online for these and all I find are ones that are over

100.00. Can someone please explain how to use them, do you dip your hands and

feet

into the wax? I would love to have something that would help also

I have one and use it frequently esp. on cold days. It really helps me get my

fingers moving in the morning. LINDA

My very worst pain is in my hands and feet, and it just seems like

that would be good. But over my lifetime I have bought so many things

I didn't use, that I don't want to buy one of these if its just going

to be a one-time thing. One reason is it would be clutter, the other

is that I can't afford any random thing that crosses my mind... But

still, it sounds like it would be so soothing.....

Hi Laurel!

I have a Conair one that I got for around $30 and I

absolutely love it! I've had it for years! I have FMS,

MPS, RA, and Reynauds (among several other things).

Not only does the heat provide some comfort but the

paraffin is really good for the skin and its a lot

less expensive to use than going to the salon to get

one done!

You can get them for less expensive than $100.00. I

have the Conair brand and didn't pay that much for it.

They have them in drug stores and walmart. You plug

the machine in that has a block of parrafin in it and

when the wax is heated you just dip your hand in.

Mine has plastic gloves to put on and then these

mitten type things to keep the heat in. Its left on

for 10 to 15 minutes. My paraffin block has lasted

quite a long while, they sell refills for when it gets

to low. They are relatively inexpensive as well.

Acording to Target's website it is only available online...however,

Homedics' site will tell you what store in yor area carries their

product(s). None of my " local stores " were drugstores, but I remember

all of them used to sell these! Now they sell every kind of junk, but

less medical/health supplies. If Homedics would toss in a few Hershey

kisses, they'd have a whole aisle devoted to them!

Also don't forget places like thrift stores, Craig's List, or

Freecycle. these are the sorts of things that many people buy and then

discard after a while. You might find a cheap one!

I purchased mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond with a coupon from the paper with 20%

off. I believe I paid around $30.00. It is a nice size. I can put my whole foot

in when I place it on the floor.

I find it worked best if you repeatedly place your hand/foot in the paraffin at

least 5 or 6 times, waiting a couple of seconds between dunking. It heats better

and it is sure easier to peal off.
