Guest guest
> > OK, troops, report in! How did it go for everyone today. Here's what I had > to eat today. It was a busy day, so I didn't get in a lot to eat. Breakfast 2 eggs scrambled with cheese 4 pieces of bacon snack cheese Lunch Steak with some yucky cauliflower snack rest of steak with pickled veggies Dinner 4 beef ribs with a butter tomato sauce snack to many hazelnuts I went to the store and bought new cauliflower, brocolli, pickles, olives and a huge turkey on sale. We did not have any turkey over the holidays so this will be a treat. I also got a package of little shrimp for a snack tomorrow and some 1/2 off steaks. I wanted to munch all day but didn't have anything very good. Tomorrow should be better with lots of things I like. in ca.

I'm feeling better...my appetite is returning, that's usually the first sign that I'm recovering. > YIKES we are supposed to get 10 " " of snow tonight. That's quite a bit, but not unheard of here...I think we got a 10 " single snowfall around 12 Dec. It's been a more-or-less normal winter here - finally, less bitter cold and more snow. Where do you live? I'm in Warren, Michigan - immediately north of Detroit. Huggy Bear Acting is about honesty. If you can fake that, you've got it made. Guest guest
Carol, Regarding cholesterol readings, Dr. Atkins says in the book that after several months of low carbing, they will tend to correct themselves. If that doesn't do it, then you may be one of those people who has genetically programmed high cholesterol, and you and your doctor may want to consider cholesterol-lowering medication. Dr. Atkins also says that as long as your risk factors are good and that your ratio of good to bad cholesterol is good, there isn't much need to worry about how high the total cholesterol number is. In my case, for example, my total cholesterol is usually around 210, but my ratio is excellent and my doctor isn't a bit concerned. Ketosis itself is dehydrating. I doubt whether the addition of potassium would cause you to lose more fluid . . . more likely is that it was coincidental with the addition of the potassium. Just be sure to drink more and more water to offset what you are losing. Your body will soon find its equilibrium point regarding fluids, I think. Guest guest
Day 1...mostly I slept. I didn't get much sleep through the holiday and my body just kinda shut down for the day. Didn't leave me much time for eating. Today I ate: 3 eggs, scrambled 3 strips of bacon 1 cup LC coleslaw 1 chicken breast I know it wasn't much, but I'm off work today, so I'll be in the kitchen cooking ahead. Promise to get more to eat today along with about a gallon of water. Pam Report in, my little Troopers! OK, troops, report in! How did it go for everyone today. Here's what I hadto eat today. It was a busy day, so I didn't get in a lot to eat.

Guest guest
Well, I didn't do that great yesterday. I ate to much of the Gabi's bread that I just made. Also I had a Cadbury candy bar that I brought back from England in Sept (I had them stored away until Christmas, I need to get rid of them now). Abigail > OK, troops, report in! Guest guest
Huggy, glad to hear that you are feeling better today. I live in Minnesota and it has been snowing all day here. They are cancelling everything for tonight. Air flights and the greyhound buses also cancelled their trips. I hope it stops soon.
