My doctor put me on the 5mg of IC Prednisone (steroids) and I am

still on Estrogen patches (3 patches at once to be changed weekly).

She explained that the steroids will prevent the regrowth of scar

tissue while the catheter is in place. I was worrid about weight gain

with both of these medications but she took me off of the steroids

once she removed the catheter. I will stay on the estrogen a little

longer.

I believe the esrogen patches only come in one strength, 1mg/day slow

release system. I was on the antibiotics for 3 weeks 10 days of

Doxycyclene and 10 days of Cipro. She is on vacation now, but I am

hoping that she will do another ultra sound during my next cycle to

determine if my lining measurements have improved. She also

suggested continuing with Gonal F shots with a combination of IUI's

and intercourse to concieve, before moving on to IVF if necessary.
