High intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)

Morning:

I;ve posted previously 45 years old 1 Core sample out of 12 2.5MM 25%

5.4 psa with normal size prostate.

Original Urologist said no rush to treatment but removal of prostate

was reccomended. Been doing a ton of research even experimental

treatments or those not currently covered under insurance.

Listened to Dr. Wheelers Webinair last night very informative and

interesting for a person of my age for alternative non surgical /

radiation treatments. THough I am going to consult with him

personally one of my questions was answered and it appears I would be

a candidate for a new procedure.. which is one a specific new MRI 1

to deterine exact location of tumor size etc... Followed by

High intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)

This certainly is a much better alternative for me than surgery or

radiation even if it comes out of my dollar not the insurance

company.

Was wondering aside from the countless web searches I've done if

anyone has heard of this or its results.
