Guest guest
Bed side manners decent enough. They are all knowlegeable. so that was never the problem. They all seem to be in a hurry as well. I did give her my list at the beginning. We didn't cover everything but I am okay with what we covered this visit. She dictated her report in the middle of the appt. She did ask me why didn't I go on disability which is a first. No doctor has ever said that to me before. So, I suppose she won't have a problem with writing a letter to give to the disability folks. She also said she has never had a case as severe as mine. i wasn't too happy about that. Not that others aren't so bad off but that my condition was. She says I have been on everything so I will be a challenge. She isn't a big fan of rituxan but also recommended I have it done. She doesn't do it at her location. In the meantime, we will restart the MTX at a lower dose because of the increased liver enzymes with other doctor and will watch closely. MTX can cause lung problems but since I had the lung problems after being off MTX she does not think it was the MTX. it still hurts to breath, however. Still taking short breaths to avoid the pain. Not sure how I want to proceed because of this. Will probably go on the rituxan as she suggested and have the hips done and hopefully that will allow me to be a bit more independent. I am practically housebound now. Now that that's out of the way, on to pulmonary followup and cardiology followup. Hopefully all good news and things can get back to some type of " normalcy. " There is still the concern about enlarged lymph nodes, one is 4 cm, pretty large. talk of another biopsy at last pulmonology visit. I don't know about that. not right now. I need a breather from the hospital stuff. Too much money and takes too much out of me to recover. Hanging in there, hope you guys are doing the same. best wishes everyone. Guest guest
Hi Ebony! I hope you find some relief soon! That is good that if you ever have to file for SSDI you have the doctors support. My doctor, actually handed me a form she had completed before my visit (based on the visit the month before) that she was putting me on medical disability and she would not sign a release for me to go back to work. This was based on my FMS, MPS, CFS, my blood clotting disorder and all of the other fun things I have. I had not yet been diagnosed with the RA. She saw that I could barely function to get to the appointments. I know it is not fun to be housebound. I've been off since 2002 now. I try to keep busy reading and have recently started a blog! I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers --- Ebony <stillbreathing29@...> wrote: > Bed side manners decent enough. They are all > knowlegeable. so that > was never the problem. Guest guest
((())) Thanks for prayers. I will keep you in my prayers as well. I am doing all that I can to be healthy, functional independent. Just a wake-up call when a doctor thinks you should go on disability. I have been trying to avoid it. Not sure if I worked enough quarters this time around. I work and stop work and stop, depending on RA. We will see. I will be okay emotion-wise. I do keep busy. I am blessed and grateful for today and each day I am here. I will just keep enjoying what I can, pay my bills off. Try to get things in order and live my life. No worries. I have my beatiful backyard birds, my digital camera, and you guys. Things can always be worse. Talk to you soon. Is it okay to read your blog? I am still learning about them. Don't have one yet. Leave your web site. thanks, take care.
