Guest guest
Hi Ronda, I am finally going back to work Monday after having flu/bronchitis. I am still not at 100% but I can't stay home forever....been out 7 days. I called my pcp on day 1 and he gave me zithromax. It's a 5 day antibiotic. It made me a little nauseious the first day as its 2 pills, then you go to 1 pill a day for 4 days and you are done. I took MTX 6 pills at the time and increased 7 this week. Only thing I can say is that it takes longer for me to heal now and I suppose that is what happens with auto immune illnesses and of course being on MTX as it weakens our immune system. I'd call your Dr. and get something, better than letting the cold develop into something else and stay longer than it needs to! Hope you are feeling better soon! My boys have had this crud all week, but I thought I was safe. Is there anything I'm supposed to do, other than grin and bear it? I remember reading that you aren't supposed to take MTX if you are sick, but nothing about what to do if you take it and then start getting sick after. I already take so many meds, I don't want to take anything for the cold symptoms, but what if I really need to - are there any OTC things we can take? I guess if it gets worse, I need to call either my Rheumy or Primary doc on Monday? To make it all even more fun, I'm teaching a class today so will have to get ready for that and try to act and appear human for a few hours! Guest guest
I took when I had bronchitis and they said it was o.k... So I don't know but I would check with your own doc. Hope you feel better soon!
