UMS Announces New Mobile Brachytherapy Service for ASCs

United Medical Systems, a mobile services company, is launching a new "turnkey" brachytherapy service program in selected areas of the U.S., initiating this program based upon new rules and changes made in the reimbursement policies for ambulatory surgical centers (ASC) by Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and will provide the latest state-of-the-art equipment along with a certified ultrasound technologist, who will set up and assist with the procedure inside the ASC on a scheduled basis.
