Guest guest
Friends, I consider myself to be an advocate for those of us who have endured prostate cancer. My insurance company requires a PreAuth for any ED drugs. I called and had a preauth done. However, the scrip was for a 30 day supply. They only approve 6 for a month! My uro had the scrip changed from the daily 5 mg dose (which my insurance company does not know about!) to the 20 mg dose. After debating with them, I am getting ready to file an appeal, using every bit of info I can get along with letters from doctors, pharmacists, patients, etc. to verify the daily dose availability, the need for ED treatment as an on-going problem after surgery and radiation treatments. Have any of you run into this issue? What did you do? I intend to " buck the system " to get changes made - not only for me, but for others! I plan to attend a support group meeting next Tuesday in Little Rock and push my agenda there as well. If you do not want to send a response to the group, simply use my e-mail and I will chat with you when I can. I am also on Yahoo messenger.
