Guest guest
Hello ine, Dr. Chang in the US deals with a radiation procedure called, FSR (Fractioned Stereotatic Radiation). One Australian Crew member, Cross has had this procedure done to him. I don't have his email address at hand, but perphaps he'll see this email and respond. Mark ----Original Message Follows---- Another prospect .......... I saw on the news the other night, the story about the CyberKnife. Same news item that was on the ABC news in US advised to us via the Crew. The website address, which was posted also by one of the crew members, thank you, as it gave those interested, somewhere to start. I had been persuaded to follow this up, by a friend. I sent a message to the Company and they forwarded it to Dr Chang. He replied this morning, asking to see my latest MRI's and a paragraph detailing my medical history. The CyberKnife is not available in Australia. Is it being used in the UK yet? Does anyone know? Have any members of the crew had any tumours treated this way yet? My problem being C2. The only option I have been given to date is operate, with great risk. I keep looking for alternatives, as we all do, and who knows, this may be it. Guest guest
ine, I was interviewing Dr. Chang to get more information when I was deciding myself for the FSR with Dr. at s Hopkins. I've mentioned to Cherita (new member) that the best thing to do is cross question and ask ask ask :-) Dr. Chang's e-mail address is: sdchang@... I hadn't talked with Dr. Adler, so I am unsure what became of him. Love, Sally Hello ine, Dr. Chang in the US deals with a radiation procedure called, FSR (Fractioned Stereotatic Radiation). Guest guest
Last night during our Man-to-Man support group in Little Rock, the urologist who was speaking was asked about cyberknife. What he said was that it was definitely showing promise. Data is only available for 5 years obviously, but it is starting to become more common knowledge (along with proton therapy). He has done over 300 daVinci procedures and presented the information on his first 155 cases. His group has done over 1000 and some of the other urologists in their clinic have decided to train for the procedure. It seems that statistics show similar results with the open and robotic and lap There was also video showing the " robot " doing the surgery. Very interesting.
