Its politics are quite subtle. It never explicitly says, " We've got to prevent the re-import of drugs from Canada " , or even more subversive from the pharma point of view, " We've got to keep the U.S. government from demanding that we sell drugs to U.S. citizens for the same prices we charge to people elsewhere. " But that is the point of the article - to prevent Americans from demanding and getting the same lower prices that non-Americans negotiated from our U.S. drug companies. The strategy is all laid out: - " ... case studies in the impact of Canadian efforts at price controls on investment in that country " - " ... its time to start gathering stories of how the Canadian health care system overall does and does not meet the needs of Canadians " Notice that it doesn't say " let's find out whether Canadian drug price controls have reduced investment " , or " let's find out if the Canadian system meets the needs of Canadians " . Nope, the conclusions are determined in advance. Investigation is unnecessary. It's time to marshal the evidence and " stories " that support the conclusions that increase profits. When you start to see this propaganda on TV next year, you can say that you heard it here first. If the future is like the past, the propaganda will be very powerful and a large number of Americans will believe it. Alan

Guest guest
I would think that the incoming administration would be less friendly toward big drug companies than the current one but realistically, economic issues should take precedent over drug costs for the forseeable future. In the meantime, I'll keep my Indian friends happy by ordering ED drugs from there. > > > To read the article > > click the link below. > > http://therpmreport .com/Free/ ee811616- e0c0-4d63- 99a2- 55aa00d60cf c.aspx?utm_ source=RPMel > > or > > http://tinyurl.com/5qz85d > > I found this to be a disturbing article.
