Guest guest
Phyliss, I have Stills disease which has a rash you could look into that although it does not sound exactly like a Stills rash which tend to come on late day and almost completely disappear by morning. I do get random spots here and there at varying times and mine dont itch but some peoples do...just like and symptoms they vary. Mandi Florida In a message dated 2/19/2008 2:49:09 P.M. I haven't used anything at all new as of course, the first thing I thought of was an allergy. Does anyone know if this could be related in any way to RA? Guest guest
I just got off the phone with my sister who was diagnosed with three food allergies. She had rash that started on her hands then, her face and other parts of her body. I'd talk to your doctor about your medications and the possible side affects, then you might see an allergist. Guest guest
Thanks for the responses to my question about the rash. I woke up this morning with some developing on my other palm. I have an appt. with my rheumy tomorrow afternoon so I hope to still be rashy by then so he can see it. I currently use Enbrel and MTX for the RA as well as meds for IBS, high blood pressure and cholesterol medication. I've been off them for a week though as we all had the flu around here. Guest guest
My son had that around his nose before. And that doesn't come and go, as far as I know. And there is no texture to it. I would guess my other kids would get it too. Thanks, but I don't that is it. Guest guest
Thank you for the links. After looking at it, I know for sure that it isn't impetigo. It is a flat rash, that almost looks like a rug burn. Is spotty, and had been reddish at first, and then turned more bluish. Actually, the rash described for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, is what it looks like. But, she can't have an active RMSF, even if she did test positive, which the dr believes was a mistake. I would have definitely recognized impetigo, I have seen it before, and this is NOTHING like it. Guest guest
Ok, I found it. The rash on her chin doesn't resemble this. But, she has had this kind of rash two nights in a row when she was on the Aleve full time. Went off, rash hasn't returned to my knowledge. She hasn't been spiking high fevers with her arthritis, so I don't think this is it. Thank you again.
