Guest guest
, My heart really goes out to you. I took care of my husband for 11 years and you are pretty much in the same situation that I was in 2005. My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's , but was having all sorts of paranoia and hallucinations and his doctor was refusing to see him until the next scheduled appointment. I was besides myself. The appointment was not for another month. I live in California and I called the Parkinson Institute in Sunnyvale and told them all the problems that Lee was having and the fact that I did not know what to do because of his extreme behavior. He was on some medications but they obviously were not right and the behavior kept getting worse. I told them that I would take any doctor and be there whenever I could get him in. They had him in within a week. I know the Booth Gardener Center is well respected and perhaps if you call them and tell them all the problems you are having they might get you in earlier. I can feel the desperation in your note and know that you are not alone. There is nothing worse than seeing someone you love and have known a long time turn into a different person and you feel so helpless. Try giving them a call and see if they can get you in sooner. They may surprise you and help you out. Bernardine Cared for my husband for 11 years and he passed on August 7, 2011
