Guest guest
, Welcome to the list :-) Congratulations on the weight loss! Sounds like you're on the right track. I know what you mean about being too sedentary... I tend to prefer to spend my time reading too, rather than exercising, so what I usually do is try to walk first thing in the morning and get it out of the way. Sandy -------------- My name is ; I live in Columbus, OH, married for almost 32 years, have two sons (27 and 25); am an English lit. professor. Too sedentary, but trying to fix that. Love reading and cats. I weigh 30 pounds less than I did when I was first diagnosed; at least 25 of that came off in the past 12 months. Guest guest
Welcome to the group, . That was a nice post, describing your evolution as a diabetic. You have taken the essential step of recognizing that diabetes is a major illness, and involves much more than switching from full-sugar sodas to diet sodas. We look forward to your participation. The Hellers have, since the release of that book, modified their stance regarding the " reward meal, " now leaving it up to others whether they want to engage in it, and determining the extent of their carbohydrate excursions. (Ketogenic eaters, both diabetic and non-, think it's a very bad idea.) The Eades (husband and wife, both doctors and researchers) have two very good books: _Protein Power_ and their followup _The Protein Power LifePlan_. Guest guest
Our insurance also covers only 6 pills per month, but it doesn't matter whether it is for a small milligram pill or a larger one. So if you are on Viagra, for instance, and are supposed to take 25 mg/day there would be nothing wrong with getting a 100 mg prescription and a pill splitter. They are not too hard to cut into fourths and that would give you at least 24 days of coverage per month. Maybe the doc could give you one or two samples to fill in the extra days? Not familiar with the mg and ease of cutting Cialis or Levitra, but we use the pill splitter now that we are using Viagra regularly (GRIN) and find that cutting it into pieces seems to make it more effective. BonnieA Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps!

Guest guest
,I do not know whether you have started doing the Kegel exercises yet, but start them a week ago and it will help train the muscles in your pelvic floor. The results will be a quicker recovery. Double check with your insurance about coverage for ED drugs as you will be on penile rehab. Many, like mine, only cover 6 tablets per month of any. Am going through the appeal process now!Steve S in ArkansasFrom: direkcom To: ProstateCancerSupport Sent: Saturday, October 25, 2008 9:41:44 PMSubject: Another new member Hi: I was diagnosed in July, did my research, and decided on a laproscopic RP at Hopkins. In fact, I am to go under the knife early next week. Not looking forward to ANY of it, but doing what I think need to be done at this time. Wish me luck and a surgeon with steady hands. I am 59YO and in good health 3+3=6 and PSA 8.1. Considering this site, I am just a new reluctant member of a vital group. I am not looking forward to Mr Happy having a shorter smile and losing weight, dribbling uncontrollably and not being able to stand up and take notice. But I will deal with him as best I can! All humor aside, I am hoping for a speedy recovery - everywhere and everyway.

Guest guest
The cialis is in a teardrop shape and is very difficult to split (I tried!). It comes in 2.5, 5, 10, and 20 mg doses. An alternative that I have discovered which is NOT as effective is horny goat weed. Might be the fact that I am still a bit incontinent. I pulled something loose before I was healed up and it may have done damage to the nerve. I found the Cialis on line, but am leery of ordering from a company outside the US.Steve S in ArkansasTo: ProstateCancerSupport Sent: Saturday, October 25, 2008 10:31:18 PMSubject: Re: Another new member Our insurance also covers only 6 pills per month, but it doesn't matter whether it is for a small milligram pill or a larger one. Guest guest
Have you asked you surgeon what type of ED treatment he uses? My treatment started 4 days after surgery. ie: 50mg Viagra, vac/pump 2 per day. I had RRP, but only lost 1/3 of nerves. Dr. said I will be back to normal in a year. Mr. Happy can recover, no drips about it.john236 Subject: Another new memberTo: ProstateCancerSupport Date: Saturday, October 25, 2008, 10:41 PM Hi: I was diagnosed in July, did my research, and decided on a laproscopic RP at Hopkins.
