Do you take two different pills as the calcium and the vit.D?, because there

is the Calcium Caltrate with the vita D in it. I know my friend with the hand

feet thing she has said baffles the Dr. I got thinking after and believe she

did tell me last I saw her, there was a name to it now, but the skin peels

because there is no circulation going to the tips of these areas. She does a

ice soak of them 3x day. I fully understand people getting this surgery, when

the weight becomes threatening, I just ? are the Dr's not doing thme as carefull

as once because it had become so common for awhile, or just because there seems

to be alot of errors in any type surgery now. Sterile barriors broken etc.

Whatever, it may be I hope you get that back where it is safe. And check out

the 1 pill calcium/D to cut out a pill if your able to do so.

Take Care. Sharon

In all of my dealings with gastric bypass patients (I used to run a support

group) I have never heard of the skin peeling/hand thing happening to

anyone. Yes, digestive and malabsorbtion problems. But I have to say that

if I had NOT had the gastric bypass 9 years ago I would be dead now. I

weighed 530 lbs. when I had it done, and now am 199. Yes, I have problems,

but I would have a lot more had I not lost the weight - IF I even lived this

long.

Glad you mentioned Vit. D. The doctor told me to take that too, and I

forgot (oops!) so I am on my way to do that. Yes, the calcium pills are

HUGE and with my teeny tummy it is not pleasant. My pills (between vit. D,

calcium, Darvocet, Lyrica and Cymbalta) are a meal in themselves!

Thanks for the concern and email.

Blessings,

Lou
