Guest guest
SSA can put the start date pretty much anywhere they want. I was lucky and they put it from when I stopped working, which was 7 months before I applied. But like your lawyer said, you can appeal the start date. As to how often SSA reviews your case, every 3 years sounds fairly normal for RA. That is what I was told in my approval letter. As far as 'Ticket to Work', no you do not have to do that. Unless you want to try going back to work. And there is no time limit as to when you can start that program.
Guest guest
Thanks , I am new to all this and I don't know what to expect from here. I was thinking that I would get denied and go from there. I am happy that I was approved fairly quickly. I did talk to someone from SSI so I can get some sort of compensation for the 5 month waiting period before my benefits started. I guess I am back to playing the waiting game again. Thanks!! --- In , " cynthiadew1 " <cynthiadew1@...> wrote: > > > SSA can put the start date pretty much anywhere they want.
