Guest guest
Dear yn, I'm sorry to read about your dad's passing. Robin Riddle is usually the person who knows all about brain donation. My deepest condolences and wishes for strength in the days ahead. Guest guest
yn, My condolences on your loss. I don't know anyone that can help families make brain donation arrangements once death has occurred with a few exceptions. If by chance you live in the San Francisco Bay Area (which is where I live), I can help you. If by any chance you happen to live in Florida, the funeral home should know about the Florida Brain Bank, and that would be worth a phone call to see if they can help. And there's one guy in the Seattle area that might do a brain autopsy (brain is destroyed after autopsy). If your father has been a regular patient at a major medical institution, you can call the neurologist to see if the institution has a brain donation program or provides a brain autopsy (in the latter, the brain is destroyed after autopsy). Sorry, Robin > > > > Hi all, > > I know I have not been on here for the past year...Taking care of my folk plus a brand new niece has made it difficult to connect here, but i wanted to let you know, my Dad passed away suddenly while he was getting dialysis.
