Guest guest
It's interesting how differently the TRUS prostate biopsy impresses eachof us. I was ecstatic to find there was no pain or discomfort whatsoeverafter the lidocaine injections, during the few seconds of which I had weirdestsexual sensations in my prostate. While the 10 prostate needles were firing, myonly feeling was that a puff of warm gas? was being expelled out the end of my penis, but after the procedure was over, I was unable to find evidence of anydischarges there. The bottom line is that it's nothing for men to fear with the lidocaine, but I'mconvinced it would be very painful without the lidocaine. To: ProstateCancerSupport Sent: Friday, December 19, 2008 6:26:25 AMSubject: 21 gun salute! I am with you! You have to maintain a sense of humor. The ultrasound was not as bad as I had imagined. I have had several colonoscopy( s) and it was more uncomfortable than those, probably because of the 'knock out juice' (versted?) something like that, but the sound of the click when they take the biopsy is still vivid in my memory. (click) All in all better than a root canal! lol Dan > > > > I saw my urologist today. I had a 1.5 PSA rise over a 1 yr period, > > with a 15% free PSA.
