Guest guest Posted March 4, 2008 Report Share Posted March 4, 2008 I am new to the group and just got diagnosed by one doctor and not by another. My antinuclear antibodies were 1:160. I have severe degeneration in the lumbar/sacral at L5 S1 and L4 and L5 and I have intractable pain in that area. I don't know who to believe. I was offered a small dose of prednisone or methotrexate. Prednisone does something to my central nervous system and I don't know anything about methotrexate. Does it have the same effect? I took 7.5 mgs. today and I am worried I may not need it.
