Guest guest
Hello & good morning to all. I have quite a delimia and I need all of the advice I can get so I need you!!! OK. I will get to the point, I requested a copy of my medical records from my last RA doctor because I, as many of you know, am out to find a good - GOOD doctor. I expected to have to pay, but was told no, they are your records, you aren't charged. So, I waited....I waited and yesterday I finally got them. Now, mind you - I have seen my file in the office - it's probably a good 2 inches thick if not slightly more and let's not discuss the mess and disorganization that it was in. Anyway, you can imagine my SURPRISE when the thin set of copies of my " medical records " consisted of 19 pages. Is this normal? Is this even right? I know they are trying to hide the issue tjhat I was given medication on 2 different occasions in which I was VERY allergic to the meds. What advice do you guys have to offer? Anyone been thru the same thing with getting records? I live in SC. I have thought and still thinking about calling the AMA to find out what the proper procedure is. But I would love to hear from any of you too! This is really important as I am trying to get into see another doctor so I have to find out if this is the norm or not!! Thank you all and have a great day! D. ltdavis_jrdavis@... --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now.
