Guest guest
Go ahead and get the blood work done, because it could show the doctor he's wrong. Is this doctor your primary care physician or is he a specialist. PCP's don't know everything, but his attitude suggests that he's not the right doctor for you. > > I just went to the doctor today. Guest guest
I am sorry that you are feeling so badly. I am writing to give you the name of a most wonderful Rheumy. I live near Port Charlotte, Florida, not far from you. She is in the Sarasota Arthritis Group with office's in Englewood, Venice, Sarasota, Bradenton. Her name is Dr. Tatianna Huguenin, and I have been seeing her for 4 years since moving to Florida. I see her mostly in Englewood, but have gone to Venice a few times. She is so caring, and a brilliant doctor. She is held in high esteem by all her patients and colleagues. I hope this helps you as I know it was so hard to start over here getting good drs. etc. I hope you find some relief from your pain and suffering. Hard to be so young and have to go through what you are going through. God Bless you. I care. Barbara [ ] Just went to doctor today I just went to the doctor today. I usually heal all of my aliments using natural medicine. But my conditioned has worsened and I finally went to the doctor he hasn't done any labs yet. But has ordered some. He told me though he can almost guarantee I don't have arthritis. I think I need a second opinion though because he told me perhaps I'm sleeping wrong! I know that's not it. How do you explain sometimes I'm fine and others I'm in excruciating pain. I'm going to be 19 years old on the 17th and prior to this I was VERY strong and active. I used to take care of exotic animals, and did everything from breeding to wrestling alligators. My symptoms include joint pain. On a daily basis not severe just moderate. But I have my days when its severe. It hurts in my neck, lower back, fingers, wrist, ankles, feet, and hips. I also am always so tired. Then again I do take tyneol PM to lessen my pain and that may contribute to my overall fatigue. Also my joints pop loudly and painfully ALOT. Which this doctor says not to worry about. Also pain is usually much worse on left side of my body. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it. Alot of people think this is in my head and I know its not. Including my mother which as you can imagine makes me feel this big. I went from having everything in the world in front of me and now my future seems so bleak. My animals are the world to me, and now I can't even care for them like I used to. On two occasions this thing has had me in bed for a week. I do at times have a little swelling but honestly not a whole lot. Also if anyone is in the Cape Coral Florida area and knows of a good doctor that'd be great. I just don't know what else to do. I feel like this is going to kill me and no one knows what it is or how to help me. Probably should have seen the doctor sooner. I want to find another one before I get blood taken. Thanks so much for everyone's time. ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Hi, acon18, I am new here and have just been reading posts for a while. I have had Lyme disease for 8 months now, and I had to swtich medicatiosn because of side effects. Within two weeks of doing that, I got rheumatoid arthritis - or , as some say, Lyme arthritis. I know it is a big, complicated topic, but I woudl like to suggest that you might have Lyme disease. I ahve been getting very good help from a group called lyme strategies. People there are very helpful and could point you in good directions. There is also a site called betterhealthguy.com and one called chroniclymedisease.com that I think have good starting places. Lyme disease can be contracted from ticks, fleas, mosquitos, mites and other things, so given your occupation, that might be a possibility to look into. > > I just went to the doctor today. Guest guest
NO WAY! I would not suggest it being " in your head. " It's for real! And what it is may be RA or Fibro or something else. But its real all right! Just saying that there are a lot of Dr's out there that don't know their butt from a hole in the ground. > > > > > > I just went to the doctor today. Guest guest
Welcome, . Sorry about your situation. I hope it resolves very soon. I was also thinking along the same lines - that acon18's symptoms may be related to something that happened at work. A bite or scratch from one of the animals could also start a whole lot of trouble.
