hi jeanette,how r u doing? my name is melynda & i have severe r.a. along with

osteo. & neuropathy.like if that is not enough! lol i live in corpus christi,tx.my

rheummy is awesome,she just got voted again as one of the TOP DRS. tha

specializes in r.a.in tx.she came on the cover of time & prevention magazine.so

i totally TRUST her with my care!! the pcps around here r also good. as far as

the medicare issues,theres problems everywhere but i think theyare o.k.

here.they try to work with you.as for the meds,there is a local church that

HELPS people out if they can not pay becuz of the cost.SO THATS GREAT,I KNOW CUZ

MY DAD USED TO GET HELP,GOD REST HIS SOUL.... as for the other two cities i cant

say,i dont even now where they are,i have lived in corpus all of my life. i love

it!!!! i HOPE you find what your looking for! god

Jeanette,

I read your post. Although it has been many years I ran a home health

office in Bonham and Sherman. Bonham has a great hospital but at the time

they were no where near the care you can get in Sherman.Like I said it has

been many years but the Drs in Sherman also seemed to be more responsive to

the patients.I envy you. I would love to move back to North Texas but my

hubby was raised here in NJ and NY so all I can do for now wish.If you ever

need home care in that area Outreach Health care is a great place to use or

at least they were.Also if I remember the towns are small enough that most

Drs take Medicare. Good luck and let us know how it goes.You are also close

to Dallas or Denton for Drs as well.

Thank you Heidi. Now, I'm wondering how the financial picture will

look as far as will Medicare pick up the whole cost of Enbrel?

Plaquenil? or the rest of the Rx's. I'm understanding that I have to

pay a premium to have Medicare, but then what else do I have to pay

for? Does Medicare pick up everything (doctor, labs, & Rx's)?

Thank you. The Medicare.gov sight was very helpful. I'm trying to

be prepared for the future, if one can be. I'm not on medicare yet,

still on medicaid, but now I know that I will automatically be sent

medicare application 3 mos or so before I start medicare coverage.

But, looking at things, it looks like I'll be better off financially

when it starts.
