Guest guest
HI , I too have rosacea, however the early stages of it. I have always blushed easily and have redness in the face always. If I look at my skin close up I can see all the vessels. This causes my skin to get irritated and red and sore easily. This condition runs in my family. My mom is 58 and has tried lazer treatment on her cheeks but it was painful for her and didn't seem to help too much. I try not to let my skin get too dry and keep out of the sun. There are treatments out there however I haven't tried any yet. Sorry I can't be of more help. , age 24 dx psc 1999, listed 2000

Guest guest
Aubrey Thanks much for your clear description of the condition, and thanks to Penny too for responding to my question. At least it is good to know that it is not related to Liver disease! Penny, my dermatologist put me on 'METRONIDAZOLE' topical {by presc. only}. I might have to use it from 3 to 9 weeks inorder to see some results. Also ROSACEA can be treated & controlled if medical advice is sought in the early stages, otherwise it may get worse & may be more difficult to treat. Guest guest
Hi , I have rosacea (facial). My dermatologist recommended a short course of antibiotics, followed by MetroGel daily. There are make up products just for rosacea as well. I don't know about evening primrose oil though. Carla cea Hi everyone.... I have a client struggling with rosacea (facial and ocular forms) and is wondering if Evening Primrose Oil helps (her physician recommended it), or if any other suggestions would help. Thanks in advance for any information! J. Sheerin, RD Traverse City, MI
Guest guest
We've seen some great results with rosacea with LEAP diets. MRT testing helps identify the foods triggering it. Happy to discuss personally. Google: cea +cytokines or rosacea +mediators You'll find a ton of links to research indicating elevated mediator levels with rosecea. If we figure out the foods or chemicals triggering the mediator release and eliminate/limit them, symptoms improve.
