Guest guest
Stiffness in the morning that lasts as long as you are talking about needs to be discussed most definitely with your doctor. It sounds like RA for sure, but don't freak - just talk to your doctor and go from there. I've had tingling, like they were asleep before, my rheumy suggested I get hand splints, I did, tried it last night and it did nothing (except give me a rotten night sleep). I have been wallpapering my bathroom for the last 6 days, on a very slow schedule, like 2 sheets a day, do you think this could cause it. Opinions appreciated. Guest guest
, It sounds like RA to me, I have the same problem and I haven't been doing any wallpapering. I would talk to your rheumy again if it still continues after you are finished w/ your bathroom. Good luck. > > Hello Everyone, > > I have been waking up with hands that can't even make a fist, this > lasts for about 2 hours, could this be RA? Guest guest
, Does your rheumatologist think you have carpal tunnel in addition to your RA? Guest guest
, when I saw him a little over a month ago, I told him that I just had tingling sometimes, like when a body part falls asleep, the pins and needles afterwards, he did say maybe it was a little bit of carpel but I was REALLY scared the other morning when I couldn't even get my hand to make a half fist. I also just started pilates, two weeks now and I'm also doing the wallpapering, my husband just thinks I'm overdoing it, I see the doc in a week, I guess we'll see then. I'm on remicade in addition to the mtx, I have a feeling that he's going to up the remicade as I'm on the lowest dose. I'm also having heel pain that is so much fun I can't tell you, LOL. My mother had vasculitis (sp?) years ago, has nerve damage from lack of B12 in her legs, that's why the hand make me so nervous. mary [ ] stiffness in hands > > Hello Everyone, > > I have been waking up with hands that can't even make a fist, this > lasts for about 2 hours, could this be RA? Guest guest
, When I moved my hands were swollen like that for days. It was from my osteoarthritis and over doing it. I can't imagine what effect it would have now that I have ra. I hope yours is just from the wallpapering and the pilates. Sounds horrible to say doesn't it. I am always looking for something that is not permenant though. I don't know if others are like me, but I find myself examaning my fingers, hands, and wrists very often. I just feel that I have to be aware of progess that I can see. Hang in Hon. I sure hope this gets better and it just goes away, but informing your doctor is important. Guest guest
Sorry, . Try not to worry. I'd make a list of all symptoms and discuss them with your rheumatologist. Do mention that you have worries about following in your mother's footsteps, so that your physician can offer you some reassurance.
