Guest guest
Thanks Carol for replying to my post. I do have short hair and most of the loss is in the front and top of my head. I still have thin hair right now and hope not to lose anymore. I'm on MTX, folic acid and Lyricia. I'm on excellent vitamins and excellent immune support. I take 3 of the immune support daily through the day and swear by them. Reading your next post, I'm so sorry that you got so sick with the meds and hope by now you are feeling better with the Arava. I've been on MTX from the beginning and I truly think you trade side effects with medicine. So, I'm staying on MTX. I pray you are able to take Arava. No, I have not heard of it but I'm sure has. I wanted to tell you and the rest of the group that I went to a sleep clinic and found out I didn't sleep well at all. I went because of my fibro about 4 years ago. I'm on a machine that helps me sleep at night and it really works. I had to be evaluated at the hospital which means you have to spend one or two nights hooked up to all kinds of wires but I'm so glad that I did it. Don't just go to any sleep clinic. Be sure and search out a specialist. Medicare pays for this. I swear by my Soma. It will put you out and relax you all night. I take 350mg 4 times a day. I've been on them a long time for my fibro but they still work and I'm able to function during the day but I guess I have enough in me that when I take it before bedtime and with the use of the sleep machine, I sleep really well. I sure hope this helps you. I want you to be able to spend more time with those angelic boys! God Bless and I will be praying for you. I found my birth daughter, her name is ! www.bonniesplace1.com Posted by: " Carol " myangelboys3@... myangelboys3 Mon Jan 14, 2008 2:55 am (PST) I am sorry to hear but know how you feel. I have RA and when I was on Enbrel that is when I started losing some of my hair but it is long so I am cutting it short so it is not so heavy which I notice it falls out more the longer it is. I was taking off Enbrel so I am not sure if mine will keep falling out. What meds are you on cuz my RA doc says it is from the meds and Do you take folic acid and and good vitamin that helps. Take care Carol Advice on sleep aids Posted by: " Carol " myangelboys3@... myangelboys3 Mon Jan 14, 2008 2:55 am (PST) Hi all I hope you are all doing well. I am hanging in there but I cannot stay healthy. I have been sick on and off for two months straight so sick I have ended up in emergency 3 times.. Well come to find out the Enbrel was doing it but now I have to wait for it to get out of my system and then they started me on a new ra drug called Arava has anyone been on it. I Got so violently ill after taking it a few days I ended up back in the er so now I am afraid to go out. Has anyone gone through this I know how we can get sick easier due to our immune disorder but now I feel I am homebound and am going nuts. Anyways also my RA said getting the right sleep is so important cuz it will help with the pain but I am having a hard time with sleep aids. Lunesta leaves a horrible taste in my mout all day, Trazodone did not work, amitriptyline did not work and Ambien 10mg does sometimes but not consistent can anyone give me advice on another type of sleep aid or tranquilizer so I can get the sleep I need? I am so scared right now cuz of the illnesses I keep getting and my sleep is so messed up. I have no life right now and am afraid to go anywhere now so I do not get sick. I have 3 amazing boys who are all in sports and a amazing husband so I feel terrible if I have to miss one of their games. Please any suggestions or thoughts are welcome. God bless you all. Guest guest
Bonnie, Thank you for taking the time out to reply. I go to my doc tomorrow so we will see. I just cannot shake this sickness which I know its from the enbrel but it seems like if you do not respond to one med the just keep piling more on you and your body has no time to get off of the med before. But I will ask my doc about soma. You take care. God Bless, Carol > > Thanks Carol for replying to my post. I do have short hair and most of the loss is in the front and top of my head.
