Guest guest
Today I traveled to the University of Michigan where I have been being treated since 1999. After my visit and exam with the rheumatologist, I was sent to the lab for blood work. Quite a few tests were taken, and they took 8 or 9 vials of blood. I usually get my tests results back in about a week and the doctor personally calls me with the results. It takes me 2.5 to 3 hours to get to the hospital and home (so its a 6 to 7 hour roundtrip). My appointment was at 10AM and I had my exam and had been to the lab for blood work and was out of the hospital by 11AM. By 1PM, I was still on the road returning home, and I already had been contacted by the Gastroenterology clinic that I needed to come in due to having elevated liver functions since 1999. It's now time to follow up on another biopsy, so I will see a specialist that treats patients that have high liver functions with no known cause. My Doctor just now phoned me from her office to let me know that she had made the referral to gastroenterology and that my CCP, SED, and Westgren were all still elevated. She said that my kidney functions and red and white blood cells are find, but that there are still a couple of tests she does not have back yet. I was very impressed! ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Never miss a thing.
