Guest guest
Welcome, ! i'm sorry about all you are having to go through. I have a corrected SU (last september) and am now 19 wks pg with twins and there are so many more people here with positive stories as well. The women here are an inspiration; it's so empowering to know more about how your body works, especially when it may not work exactly like your average person's! Guest guest
<<Is it possible that corrective surgery for SU be only temporary, and that the SU just grows back to it's old shape and size? >> Hi , You are at least the half-dozenth person I know of to complain of a " return " of the septum. It's pretty well established that these things do not heal back together and are incapable of regrowth, so the answer probably lies in surgical and imaging techniques. As it was explained to me, the monocular view inside a uterus with a hysteroscope does not provide depth perception, and surgeons are loath to pierce the uterine wall, so I think that some resections are stopped way too soon. Another rule of thumb during surgery that does not seem consistent with the facts is that some surgeons stop resecting when blood vessels are seen. However, 70% of septa do have significant circulation and muscle fiber in them, so it's not all fiber in there to be resected. On my second hysteroscopy, my surgeon said that my uterus had a normal shape and configuration, but the follow-up HSG tells otherwise . . . the hysteroscope fools the eye, apparently, and so may the HSG. Just some things to consider. No doubt you have read Sara's recent message about having detected no change. Thanks for the antispasmodic tip. Like you I was poleaxed by pain for 48 hours following my first HSG and somewhat less following the other two. I do have a shrimp allergy, a mild one, and now feel that this may have had something to do with my own discomfort, which was not cramping, but burning pain. Guest guest
TaQuaita(sp), I am so glad that you joined this group. I recently came back after an absence. I had to regroup and collect myself. After Eileen was born the only thing that really kept me going was knowing that I was not alone. There is so much love and support here and I knew that I could go through anything with Eileen because all these wonderful CHARGE parents had already gone through what I was going through and made it and all these beautiful CHARGE babies are such FIGHTERS! I have never seen a child with such a zest for life like Eileen and she will be 2 on June 18. I will keep your family in my prayers and welcome to the family. , Jerry, Marissa 11 years, Christian 5 years and Eileen almost 2 years CHARgE, Citrus Heights, CA

Guest guest
Haylees Mom, welcome to the group, this is one place you will find a caring and affectionate charge family, who are always there for you when you need them, with all their good wishes and valuable advice. Had it not been for this group, our family would have been probing in the dark and feeling so insecure about the future of my grandson. Feel free to talk about your daughter, voice all your doubts and fears, Haylee and you will get the best practical advice, which even Doctors or medical books cannot give. My children are in Toronto Canada, and we the grandparents in India. Pushpa grandma to Aman 7 months.

Guest guest
Some dr's say to give it a year but I know that Dr. levin mentioned that if we weren't PG within 6 months, he would want a HSG. I think I would talk to your dr about that. in MI new member Hi! My name is Diane. I'm 28 yrs. old. I had a TR done on 1-3-02. I tried charting temps and taking some fertility pills to regulate my periods, for about 2 months. It's been 6 months now and I have not gotten pregnant. I don't know a single soul who has had a TR so I'm not sure what to expect. I have heard about a procedure called HSG? To see if your tubes are even open. Should I talk to my dr. about this or is it too early? For the past few months I've just given up because I was getting stressed out. Can anyone give me any advice about what to do now? Should I just wait? My dr. visits are getting expensive since nothing is covered on my insurance I'm still trying to recover the $6000.00 debt from the surgery. Thanks! Guest guest
That's great! If I may ask, how long after your tubal was the reversal done? Did/Do you have to have a C-Section? Are there any expected complications with the pregnancy? I didn't realize I had so many questions until I started typing! Guest guest
Welcome, . :-) My first suggestion would be to look at Dr. Levin website. He has some great advice and information in there. If you ever need to talk just send me an email. Guest guest
Welcome to the group . Have you had any recent blood work? Sounds like that you are undermedicated and are hypothyroid. I have hashimoto's and am hypo with a lot of the same symptoms. I just had half of my thyroid out last thursday. I would get to a dr. and have your tsh, free t4 and free t3 tested to start. Are you presently on synthroid or armour? "Dreams are the touchstones of our character." Henry Thoreau New Member Good afternoon, My name is ... and I was diagnosed with Graves disease in 1994. I had RAI in 1995 and in 1996 all my problems seemed to start. I have had a slow steady weight gain ... panic attacks ... depression ... joint and back pain. Aught! I'm turning 50 this year ... and have really tried to get things back to normal ... or something like that any way. I'm 100 lbs over weight ... until I had RAI I was normal weight for my height.
