Swasti Health Resource Centre Bangalore. (Part of Catalyst Management Services

(CMS) Group) Requires personnel for the following positions for the ‘Learning

system for Civil Society Organisations’

As part of ‘SAMASTHA’ Project , a major HIV/AIDS initiative for

Karnataka State funded by USAID and managed by Karnataka Health Promotion Trust

(KHPT)

1. Senior Manager: To set up and manage the Unit in a senior multi-stakeholder

context through strong networking with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) across

the State.

Qualifications and Experience: Post Graduation in Social Sciences/Management

from National/International Institutions of repute with minimum 10 years of

experience in managing major social development/health sector projects with

HIV/AIDS programme exposure. The position requires, leading senior professional

teams with strong interfacing, presentation skills and wide CSO networking.

2. Research Coordinator: To conduct and manage large research assignments for

the unit, right from proposal design, tool/methodology development, data

collection, analysis and report writing.

Qualifications and experience: Post Graduation in Social Sciences from reputed

Institutions, PhD desirable. Minimum 7 years of experience in major social

development/health sector research essential. HIV/AIDS programme exposure

preferred.

3. Documentation Officer: To take up and manage major documentation assignments

capturing learning from projects across Karnataka, both in Kannada and English.

Documentation involves print, audio and visual media with strong research

ingredient and client-friendly communication style.

Qualifications and experience: Post graduation in Social Sciences from reputed

Institutions. Communication component as part of academic programme preferred.

Proven experience in generating/publishing documentations in social and health

sector themes essential. Minimum 5 years experience.

4. Web site designer: To design, set up and maintain a web site for the unit.

The site would disseminate experiences and learning generated by ‘SAMASTHA’

project.

Qualification and experience: Technical qualification with Communication

component from reputed Institutions with proven experience in content design.

Experience in social sector/health/HIV/AIDS projects preferred. Minimum 5 years

experience.

All positions are based in Bangalore and involve extensive travel within and

outside the state.

Attractive remuneration package comparable to market standards. Knowledge of

Kannada is essential for positions 3 & 4 while it is desirable for positions 1
