Guest guest
Hi there, I was diagnosed with zero-factor RA in July because of horrible pain in my hands. Since then I've been on a short lived course of prednisone, presently taking methotrexate (7 a week as of today), hydrochloroquine, and tramadol. I've had 2 joint shots in the right index finger, am right handed, so I really need this hand! My question is....ok, we have an auto immune disease...and the meds we take weaken our already compromised immune system. Have any of you noticed an increase in colds along with the fact they take longer to get rid of? Have you missed more time at work because of it? What do you do to prevent it from happening, if anything? Since December, I've had 3 colds. Right now I have the flu and bronchitis. Was in ER last nght (this am) because of chest pain. Would love to hear your thoughts, comments. Thank you.
