Good for you, ! You need to stay in the fight all the way for your wife's

sake. I watched my mother take the fight all the way to the bitter end. She

was a remarkably strong woman. I've spent a good deal of time in the week since

she passed thinking about how she lived and fought. She did not give in one

iota. It was only when she lost the abiity to swallow that Lewy saw a chance

for victory. Mom knew different and ultimately won, leaving Lewy behind in the

dust.

Even more astounding was the realization that she retained a great deal of

awareness until her last breath. I write this so that the abilities our loved

ones may retain should never be taken for granted. Mom's only way to respond

was a grunt. The amount of strength and determination that it took for her to

retain that ability, apparently so very important to her, is remarkable.

Remember that when people speak in the presence of your loved one. They may

hear and understand what is being said. Make those words count so they know how

important they are and that you are standing by their side all the way.

Way to go, ! Love the attitude!

Best wishes,

Lynn in Florida

fair). he has fallen to the matt. Wait, he's getting back up...blam, blam,

smash...how do you like that Lewy? Lewy is confused and stumbling around. Lewy

likes the fight better when i give up. Not gonna happen. my weapons are:

family, friends, drs. caregiver, DME, Rx, determination, stubborness, faith,

prayer, keeping busy, asking questions, going on this Web Site, seeing my wife

laugh, etc., etc. Like Winston ChurchHill said: " sure, we are taking a few

bombs on our heads, stay the course, bunker up, presevere..our time is coming,

London will rise again " . as for me, I would rather die fighting than live

dying............... (Kay, wife, LBD) I Will rise again whichever way this

fight wants to go.

You were born with certain gifts and talents.

In kindergarten you were taught to share.

The world needs all of the gifts it can get.

Don’t be shy.
