Guest guest
Hi everyone, Thanks for all the good wishes. Well, I survived another one of my favourite pastimes (!!). Having had my first " scopy " 36 years ago (before the days of flexible scopes, and you DON'T want to know how THAT was, flexible scopes are absolute bliss in comparison), my test today was performed by a " Fellow " who wasn't even born at that time. Boy does that make me feel old, but infinitely more experienced than him. We viewed the images together and decided together where to take the biopsies !! There were 12 in all, 8 random and 4 from " suspicious " areas. No polyps, but it was difficult to see, and obviously our eyes are not microscopes, if they were " just " ulcers or areas of " dysplasia " . I get the results from my " regular " gastroenterologist, who was supervising the Fellow, in 10 days time. I hope they are " just " ulcers .......!!!!!! I'm DEFINITELY not in the market for more surgery in that direction, so they'd better be " just " ulcers. I had really bad RUQ pain after the examination, which I found rather strange. Frequently you get quite severe cramps from all that " wrong way in " air, but this was different. It's wearing off a bit now. I'll let you know what the biopsies reveal. Have a good weekend all, DutchPat.
