I have, before I even knew it was RA! Actually, it seems it may start

first with me?

Back in 1999, at age 21 I had some foot pain that was thought to be a

stress fracture, tendonitis, or maybe RSD/CRPS. I was on Vioxx for

quite some time (which helped) and was eventually able to taper off,

although I couldn't run anymore. The doctors never figured out what

it was, but for a long time afterwards my feet just popped and

cracked like nothing else, especially in the morning. It was always

brushed off when I would mention it. My hands and wrists started

popping right before the most recent flare that finally led to my RA

diagnois (well as close as I could get anyway, since I am

seronegative and asymmetrically affected!). My hands had never

really popped before. My other joints are only moderately affected

but my knees, which had never been noisy, have started to pop.

I have to admit some frustration that all those years I kept asking

and prodding, why do my feet pop so much sometimes? and it was just

dismissed as nothing. But it always correpondend with times when my

feet would be more painful...

Now that the swelling is down, everything is popping, squeaking, and

crunching...even my neck which has NEVER EVER given me a problem.

The neck problem is giving me weird head pains and headaches...yuck.

I don't see the rheumy until the 11th and the extra pred doens't help

with the crunch.

i am the same symptoms after a flare. i am aware of every muscle and bone in my

body.

i sometimes run a fever and feel very fluish for a couple weeks after. when

people say some days stink with RA i say every day does. i am either going into

a flare or out of one. rita

Who here has had a major flare, and as it subsided you were just crunchy all

over?

UGH! I had a flare last week like I haven't had in a few years. Now that the

My fingers pop, my hands pop, my lower back pops, my feet and legs

pop. I sounds like cereal...snap, crackle and pop!! When I eat my

jaw pops too...is that all part of the same thing or is that

something different? Anyone know??

Take care,
