Duty Station: Gurgaon Contract type Duration: Two years Objectives of the Programme TCIF is currently running a national HIV/AIDS prevention programme for truckers. A major component of the programme is STI management. The programme operates 17 static clinics and 68 extensions in 17 clinics intervention locations across 9 states. Description We require a young and active STI cum training officer with a passion to travel. She /He would report to the Advisor STI and Training at the National Project Management Unit, Gurgaon. The STI cum Training officer would be based at Gurgaon. Responsibilities He/She would be responsible for the following: a. Effective implementation of the overall STI/HIV component of the program through the various NGOs located at the intervention locations. a. Provide technical assistance, supportive supervision and close monitoring of the field level activities. a. The candidate will also be responsible for all the training activities at regional level related to the above a. He/She will work in close coordination with the team members at the National and the Regional Units of TCIF. a. He/She would be responsible for developing and strengthening the STI and HIV component of the programme, in development of technical materials/modules in coordination with NPMU for the clinics. Qualifications required The candidate should be a Medical Doctor (M.B.B.S.) and should have at least 1 to 3 years of hospital / field experience. Experience in Public health, STI/HIV/AIDS would be an added advantage. Competencies Young age with dynamic leadership qualities. Demonstrated knowledge in management of all aspects of health care delivery. Demonstrated skills in leadership and teamwork, management, negotiations and diplomacy. Desirable: Knowledge of NACO and WHO programmes and policies in STI/HIV. Languages Excellent knowledge of English and Hindi. TCIF is committed to provide equal opportunities to PLHA.
