Mine is mostly in the face but it looks like I could stick a pin in my eye lid area and pop them there so swollen! I'm only on 10 mg a day so I can just imagine how a higher dose might effect someone. I'm on MTX also but the puffiness seemed to be there before I started that. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks, Mandi Florida **************Ideas to please picky eaters. Watch video on AOL Living. Guest guest
Unfortunately its a lovely side effect of prednisone! Weight gain and puffiness. My doctor rarely ever gives me prednisone, and is used very infrequently and only as a last resort. Luckily, when I stop taking it, my puffiness goes away within a few weeks. --- MLH951@... wrote: > > Does anyone have any tricks for getting rid of the > puffiness caused by the > prednisone? Guest guest
Hello, I was on Prednisone for a long time also. The puffy face is also called moon face. Prednisone, helped my RA so much, but it damaged the rest of me, it caused an adrenaline problem which now I have to take a beta blocker for so I do not end up having a heart attack. It has also deteriated my bones. I was on it for 6 years. I highly reccomend staying away from it as much as possible. P. S. Read the side effects on the drug ann farrell <amf0626@...> wrote: this what prednisone does to you.i am on 10 mg also.it makes my face round.also on enbrel.my puffiness went down a little. hang in there ann nj MLH951@... wrote: Does anyone have any tricks for getting rid of the puffiness caused by the prednisone?
