Each of us is so unique that what works for me might not do the trick for you.

That said,

Enbrel has given me a big part of my life back. I am very thankful for it!

Good luck tomorrow,

Pat

Mandi,

I had great success with remicade and arava. I noticed a decrease in

the amount of flare-ups with that combination. I am currently on

sufasalzine, plaquinel, diclofenic, lyrica...it helps w/ the

inflammation, but for the most part, I still wake up really stiff and

I am still in pain. I hope you find something that works for you.

Best of luck to you.

Enbrel works wonderfully well for me. It seems to be my miracle drug.

Each of us reacts differently with every medicine out there. Unfortunately, it

is trial and error and if you are lucky, you find few " errors " !

I use to have great success with the Medrol dose pack but that no longer

works...in the past it would keep all swelling down for months at a time.

Now I take MTX 2.5mg 4pills once a week and 10mg of pred which has not

worked as of yet, I'm going to see my RU tomorrow and would want to talk about

other options. I'd like to get away from steroids or perhaps go to injections

instead.

Dear Mandi,

I'm also taking MTX 20mg/wk(8 Pills)and prednisone 10mg/day. You

could ask to try alittle more MTX, with you rheumy's approval. If

that doesn't work it probably is time to move on.

My Rheumay doesn't want me to take this much prednisone due to bone

issues and all the other awful effects of steroids. I will be

starting Remicade infusions on March 11, and will begin backing away

from the prednisone. I hope this works for me and I hope you find

what works for you.
