I believe consistency is the most important thing., I take mine orally.

Weak adrenals can cause low sex hormones as when the ovaries/testes age

and lower their production of these hormones it is left to the adrenals

to pick up the slack.

First of all...KUDOS to you for being so diligent in

taking your temp. for sooo long. Not many can even

remember to do it. Especially us who have memory

issues due to the hormone imbalance. I think most of

your hormones will be unbalanced if you don't have

your adrenals and thyroid at optimal level. Once they

are, then get labwork for the other hormones except

for DHEA. You'll need to suppliment with that since

it's an adrenal hormone. You may find that once your

adrenals and thyroid are optimized, the other hormones

will be at their normal levels. I had questions too

about the difference in temps. when doing it under the

arm versus in the mouth. It doesn't make a lot of

sense. I'm also 38 and have noticed my basal temps to

be under 98 in the first two weeks of the cycle and

above 98 in the second two weeks. Dr.

recommends taking temps. only the first several days

of your period. Not the first though. If temps. are

under 97.8, then you need to treat your thyroid.

Arrrggghhhh so sounds like both you and Val are saying I need to re-

examine my thyroid and adrenals. Have I mentioned how tired I am of

being my own endocrine system? My endo is great with my thyroid, but

ALL my doctors suck with everything else.

I will probably still do the temps everyday, but will use just the

first part of the month to judge thyroid and adrenal.
