I've read many posts from members that are having trouble with their dosage

of MTX pills. Bad effects seem to be the norm and you ladies (mostly) suffer

without knowing what to do to make it better to take them. What is the

reason for suffering like that when the liquid form is so much easier and

much less expensive? For a number of years I took it in a glass of orange

juice or other breakfast drink without problems, but now that I'm taking a

larger dose, I have to inject it. That's easier than trying to remember to

take them spread out during a hectic day. It's a lot cheaper and without the

normal side effects you all are suffering. This is something to talk with

your Rheumy about, it could be a Godsend. And, make sure you are taking the

appropriate amount of Folic Acid, it's a MUST!

Thanks for the info Dennis! How often do you have to inject yourself? This is

something I'll have to talk to my Rheumatologist about.

I inject mine once a week on a friday evening. I'm on .2mg or 20cc of it with

1mg of folic acid daily. I need to ask my Rheumy to increase my folic acid

because my hair is starting to fall out after being on it less then a month.

I'm also on enbrel, the pre-filled syringes, i didn't like the pens because the

needle inserted to fast and hard into my legs.

Thanks for the info Dennis! How often do you have to inject yourself? This is

something I'll have to talk to my Rheumatologist about.

Hi I am Edie and I take methatrexate only once a week.3 pills 2.5 mlg

all at the same time.Also 1 folic acid pill daily.no side effects at

all.doctor told me of the importence to take it at the same time

every week.So not so bad just the 3 once a week.doing well except for

a few marbles under my feet lol.at least that is what it feels like.

Kathleen has RA and states to find the right doctor and give
