Just adding my experience. I was on IB profin, and some other anti-infams. I

also suffer with a sensitive stomach to begin with, so take RX prilosec 2 20mg

x2 day, that is alot. I had my gastro tell me though to stay away from

anti-inflam. meds as he claims they are the worse thing going for anyone

stomach, let alone one like mine. He said the pain med I take though is rough

to, but as long as I eat with them is better then the NSAIS. I have often

wondered if the protonix would be better for me as my mom uses it after trying

others and has had the best results with it. Luck with finding the right thing

for your stomach.

Hi Pat,

I have taken many different NSAIS for several years. As soon as one

causes me too much stomach discomfort my rheum switches me to

another. The one I am taking now is Lodine which my GI recommended.

It helps me OA pain. Also have always taken stomach protection drugs

since I have been on NSAIDs. My current one is Protonix and I think

it is a proton pump inhibitor. Tried many other different stomach

meds in the past also.
