RA and Thyroid Cancer

I'm lucky enough to have two major diseases - RA and thyca. Actually

the RA is what causes most of the symptoms but thyca is more dangerous.

I'm currently taking 10 mg of Prednisone daily. What I thought might be

interesting to this group is the link between thyroid hormone and RA

symptoms. I have no thyroid so I have to take thyroid hormone

replacement. Currently I've been taken off of thyroid hormone and my

RA has gotten much worse. I wonder if there is any correlation between

thyroid hormone levels and RA symptoms for other people whose thryoid

are not producing enough hormone but they don't realize it? Anyone had

there thyroid hormone levels checked?

Wow! This is the first time I have heard anyone like the two.

I also have RA and have had my thyroid removed due to cancer. I actually never

connected the two but who knows with any kind of immune problem.

I do know that if I am removed from my synthroid that I get REAL tired but I

don't ever remember my RA symptoms ever getting worse.

Thanks for bringing up your thought of a like,
