Hospital superintendent Dr Pradeep Kasar said the condition of the counsellor, Sanjay Shrivastava (32), who sustained 80 per cent burns, was critical. Accused Kaushal Kishore Jaiswal (34) had come to Shrivastava about a month ago, claiming he was suffering from AIDS. Shrivastava had been trying to convince Jaiswal that he was in good health. On Tuesday, Jaiswal set Shrivastava on fire after sprinkling petrol on him. The accused told the police that had he not done this, the counsellor would have killed him.
