Hi ,

It was so sad to read about June. She will be missed so much. I know when I

was so sick with all the stomach things, she was so supportive.

She will be missed by all.

-------------- Original message --------------

From: " " <Matsumura_Clan@...>

As you may have read in a message from her son June Dixon died on

March 26, 2008.

June was a long-time member here. In fact, I knew her when RA-Support was

comprised of only a few dozen people.

Despite her long struggle with aggressive rheumatoid arthritis, June rarely

complained. She was highly-intelligent, had a great sense of humor, and

showed a lot of compassion toward others battling RA.

Her work with a group called Patient Partners will survive her, for part of

her involvement in the effort was to educate young physicians about how to

better conduct a clinical examination and understand RA patients.

June loved her husband and family so. In the past, she told us about many

family achievements and get-togethers. I'm sure they are hurting now. So am

I.

Rest in peace, dear June. I'll miss you.

When I first joined the group, June welcomed me. We became friends

offline. She encouraged me, was there for me.

When I was well enough to travel again, June said she traveled with me

vicarously through my photos. She chuckled over the photos of my

grandkids with me.

She sent me hugs and funny cards on facebook.

No matter how bad things were, she was always positive, and willing to

help others.

I will miss her so, but I am glad she will never have to deal with

pain again, she is whole again. And still with us, looking down on us

and continuing to encourage us.

God bless your family and comfort them, June. RIP.

hi everyone: I am so sorry to hear about June. I do not post often but try to

read most of the postings. I have been a member for several years and met the

best friends on here. June was always there for me when I would post about

problems I was having and she will be missed by all.

Her family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you June for all you did for all of us.

You know , this is the second time that I know of someone on the list died.

It is hard and sad when this happens. June was just very special. This just

makes me feel bad that she is gone.

Jo,

Joan had lupus. , June, Annette, Elaine, Tery, and Lori had rheumatoid

arthritis.

They ranged in age from their 30s to their 70s.

I don't know in every case what the final event was. There were at least two

infections and one heart attack.

It was a shock and sad to read that June recently died. We exchanged

Christmas cards in 2006 and now wished I saved hers. Had to scroll

back several pages to find this note but not Chris's. Will keep

looking for it when I get the chance.

June's attitude was so wonderful. I read most of the post for several months

probably 2 years ago and then stopped for a long while. I do remember June and

I admired her positive attitude. Instead of complaining about the care recieved

from Doctors and nurses she used her illness as a reason and opportunity the

educate those who provide our care and hopefully to improve our care. She was

always encouraging in her response to other e-mailers who were having a rough

time. I've just recently started reading posts again as I have time and

wondered where some of the regular posters from several years ago are

today-a, Ken, Tess, Marina, a nd many others. Some names I recognize

today and it is like hearing from old friends that I haven't kept in touch

with. It's good to know that your still hanging in there.
