Guest guest
get help now, I had a bad (first time) flare up with a pregnancy and AFTER I delivered......oh my gosh ...it was 101 times worse after I delivered. (which is what has happen to me/6 weeks post partum) That way you can have something lined up when you have the baby, you an have an appt and medications lined up so you are not miserable with a newborn. but that is my newbie advice amber **************Create a Home Theater Like the Pros. Guest guest
I would get help now. The doctor will be most cautious regarding your baby. Many blessings... missiep78 <missiep78@...> wrote: I am 7 months pregnant and I have RA. I'm scared to call my Rheumy about the problems I'm having, because I really want to just hold out until after the baby is born, because I don't want the meds to effect her. At the same time, I don't want damage done to my body. My neck has hurt the entire pregnancy, and now it's so stiff and sore. It hurts to turn it when I drive. This morning I woke up w/ a black and blue and swollen knuckle. I wish I was in full remission!!! If you were in my situation, would you wait it out 7 more weeks, or go get help now? Guest guest
Get help now. You can see what your rheumatologist suggests. Express your concerns about the baby. You don't have to agree to any treatment you aren't comfortable with. As Amber said, even if to just get a plan in place for immediately after giving birth, it would be worth talking the situation over with your rheumatologist. An intent list should not determine your baby's fate, a doctor who has been trained should. You have symptoms, you should tell your doc and trust him to do the best thing for the baby's health.
