Janie;

Your doctor at the VA has been ordered to not

prescribe frequent testing. The pharmacy is wagging

the dog.

I just went through a fight with the VA over testing

when they cut my testing from 4 to 3. Some SOB in the

pharmacy chain is practicing medicine. After quizzing

the doctors on the staff I found the pharmacy is

trying to save money on test strips.

This is a result of President Bush raising the VA

budget and bragging about it. What he fails to tell

us is that he put other programs not there before in

to the VA budget with a net result of less money for

the previous programs. Bush lied to veterans.

I got the 4 strips back with my doctors help. However

that is not the issue, the real issue is the VA

pharmacy is denying needed medical supplies to

diabetics. If they do that to us who else is getting

screwed by the VA pharmacy?

Do the big guns at the VA get performance bonus's for

denying medicine?

I will be writing a few senators and congressmen/women

on this issue in the next few weeks.

Its my opinion you should contact your senator and

congressman about this. Also check the

recommendations for testing with the ADA and get and

outside doctors opinion befor you do so you will be

able to quote a medical professional.

The pharmacy should not be practicing medicine!

Go for it,

Tars

Also are you aware that there are several studies now investigating the high

rate of diabetes in Vietnam and Gulf War veterans? My son in law was in the

gulf war, is 27 years old and is pretty sick. Diabetes, high blood pressure

and bad joint and muscle pains.

So if they caused it they need to pay for it
