Sarcoidosis/RA/ Kidney Stones and Remicade treatment

Hi I have had RA for 24 years and am doing well on Enbrel ( 3 years) but

recently was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis( a related lung problem). My Rheumy has

asked me to stop the Enbrel and start Remicade and methylprednisolone. I also

have had a history of kidney stones and that seems related too. I am anxious

about the changes in meds and the thought of being infused. as well as steroid

treatment of any kind. Any side effect info?

Steve, I can only address the Remicade, I've been on it for 8 months now, I have

no problem and I've never seen anyone at the office with a problem. It's a

regular IV and about 1 3/4 hours of your time every 2 months. mary in pa

Why does your rheumatologist want you to change from Enbrel to Remicade?

Thanks for responding . My Rheumy says the Enbrel may have caused it or

possibly the Remicade will be more effective in addressing the sarcoidosis? Is

there any evidence for this in research?
