the RA doc would not see me, but did send me a bill from over 4 years

ago that medicaid should have picked up.....now i have to deal with

that soon.

i am going to the doc that sent me to the rheum, started the blood

test and gave me PT while pregnant for the pain then also after i

hadt the baby gave me prednisone .... i hope that he can help with

this flare up this time, i am surprised he will actually see me

today although it is more of a clinic " y " type practice. I am just

happy someone will see me.....

any suggestions on getting this through to the doctor????? I have

that " you look fine " look to me, u know. I wish he could see me in

the morning when i am in tears and i cannot move fast enough to pick

up my crying baby or screw the lid on the baby's bottle....then it

would be easier to understand my desperation. Last time i had this, i

guess my only other bad flare up (my initial start of all this) i had

a lot of doctors look at me like i was insane, making up stuff or

drug seeking (as a nurse i know that look, i have probably given that

look before).

Wish me luck this afternoon that he can help me in someway since my

stomach is starting to feel icky from motrin overload and my percocet

is gone.

Amber,

First, If you were on medicaid 4 years ago and the doctor accepted

that then, you do not have any obligation to pay a second time for

services. Write a letter to his office. Explain that when you saw

him last (4 years ago), you presented your medicaid card, and that

they accepted it for payment. Let them know that if they try to

pursue this matter. You will go to your local District Attorney,

Welfare Fraud, and State Attorney General with a complaint of Medicaid

Billing Fraud. This is a SCAM that doctor and their offices use to

make money off the poor. Do not fall for this tactic. Quite frankly,

go to the State Attorney General's office or local Welfare Fraud and

report him anyway. This makes me so angry when I had clients call me

with low life doctors and their staffs doing this. I didn't let them

pay either.

Then. call your primary care Doctor and explain that you can not go to

this Rheumy for " personal " reasons. That you had seen him before, and

can not stomach going there again. It's a little white fib, but you

shouldn't be going to an office with bad business practices.

PS. Your State keeps records, and they can explain to this low life

rat of a doctor, when and who much he was paid, even 4 years ago. I

used to do it several times a month. yes, this is more common than

you would think.

I have gotten information to write them a letter about the bills. It is soo

frustrating to me that this bill shows up the same time a flare up does (not

that he would have seen me anyway). I spoke to a medicaid person through DRRH

who was very quick to want to help me so I am working on that. What is sad is

when I went to the doctor I REALLY liked him (4 years ago), he listened, he

tried different things, he did not blow me off like some of the other doctors

I had seen....so I have to wait and see what happens, thankfully we have

more than just him in the area (rheum doc). when this doctor asked about him I

told him that the office said I needed a referral to see him again and left

it as that.

thanks for the advice, I hope this 388. bill can be taken care of without a

ton of trouble but we will see.
